10English-Watching Television is making New Zealand An unhealthy nation
Ever heard of a couch potato? Well, basically they are people who are deemed a "special name" for spending countless hours and minutes wasting (or appear to be wasting) their lives on Television. These are called couch potatoes). Televisions or TV's are omnipresent, meaning that they are practically everywhere, they are basically a modern necessity. The TV is the modern form of catching up on the news and for entertainment, which is truly a great invention, except for some devastating facts about them. Using a Television too much could lead to no sociality as all you do is sit in front of an electronic canvas. Too much usage is also quite bad for the eyes and this is where eye strains and loss of focus quite commonly happen, would you want that to happen to you? For a Final down point, The use of the TV vigorously could also lead you to a very deep and dramatic, down, damaging syndrome which is Couch Potato Syndrome (not a real syndrome... I hope). Let's look on the bright side though, a TV could just be your way of bonding with family and friends as you could all spend some time together watching the latest thriller or documentary on... well, anything! Also, it can help you catch up on the news and live events that you would have otherwise completely missed out on, for example, the recent royal wedding. The television was a great if not perfect invention, but with great power also comes great responsibility.
