PBL action 2 blogpost

28/11/17
This time for our second action we made a pamphlet to send out to people in our community. This shows the link to our website for easy access. We are going to print it out and walk around putting them in people's mailboxes and hopefully wait for a good reply. We had a problem finding out how to make a pamphlet but in the end we did it in google drawings which helped a lot.

PBL action 1 Blogpost

27/11/17
This week / last week we have been working on making a site that will have all of our challenges in how to stop litter for everyone to see. We also have made a pamphlet that we will put in our community's mailboxes and will hopefully get a viewer form some of them. We found out how to use google sites and had a bit of pre-knowledge on how to use it which helped us.

9PBL-blogpost 1

In Phantom(my team name) we have Braxton, Vincent, Baylie, and I. We have chosen to do the topic of litter and will make a difference about the impact it has on our environment. The current websites we have accessed are: https://www.forgerecycling.co.uk/blog/japan-waste-litter
,https://www.knzb.org.nz/resources/tackling-litter/, https://www.ccc.govt.nz/services/rubbish-and-recycling, http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=10531008 and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Litter_in_New_Zealand. The issue we have chosen is the problem of litter. We will hand out brochures to people in our community and it will explain 10 easy things they can do to help prevent litter being here in the first place. We have 10 easy things that you can do to help tackle the litter around New Zealand and the world: Don't use straws, Use your own cup instead of their own plastic ones, Carry a fabric bag while shopping instead of using plastic bags, Pick up at least one piece of rubbish every day, carry a rubbish bag with you while in a car, Make sure you put the correct rubbish in the recycling bin, Make sure the lid of your bins are tightly on, help out your community by picking up litter for a day or even a week! Pick up litter that is in front of your house, don't use glad wrap, Reuse ice cream containers. The impact it will have is a cleaner and safer community. The area will be more attractive to people and we will help save our wildlife and endangered animals/plants

Litter! the one thing that can be seen absolutely everywhere you go. Well, this has GOT to change. This is what me and my friends have gone by and that in our Project Based Learning we will solve this problem. Litter ruins the overall view of the city and harms or even endangers our precious wildlife and environments! I mean how's this going to look within a decade?
