He started up his company with Steve Wozniak in 1976.
Their company made electronic products starting with the first mac's then moving up from there.
The challenges they had faced were Steve's early life when he was always a prankster due to being bored and his teacher needed to bribe him to actually learn. Wozniak had lots of background knowledge about computers and computer chips which obviously helped them succeed. Sadly Steve Jobs had passed away in 2011 so this affected the company quite dramatically as he was the main source of their product ideas.
